When I woke up in the morning, I realized that I didn't get much sleep. I was exhausted. I got up and stretched, but it didn't really help. Oh well. I looked at Maddie, who looked like she had risen from the grave. So I had gotten more sleep than her. We both looked at each other and laughed. She must have thought I look as terrible as her. Maddie and I walked into the bathroom and splashed hot water onto our faces. I felt better when I did that, and by looking at her, I could tell she did, too.
